The Museum of Glass, Stone and Books features collections of molten glass objects by French and foreign glass artists including François Décorchemont (1880-1971) and his grandsons, Etienne and Antoine Leperlier, Jean-Claude Novaro (a master glazier specialising in blown glass), Erich Schamschula (1925-2004) who specialized in optical glass, and Marisa and Alain Bégou.
The Museum also owns collections of prehistoric stones and fossils dating from the Palaeolothic to Neolithic periods, and an old collection of 2300 books, some of which date from the 16th century or earlier. These include 16 precious manuscripts, 7 of which are medieval, 28 incunabula and 2 post-incunabula.
